I am interested in starting up a "Deadlands Reloaded" game here in Olympia, and was wondering if there is any interest out there. I would like to put on a gaming session every two weeks or so, probably on weekends.
My games focus heavily on storytelling, as I have experience in movie writing, directing, and acting. Although the players make most of the key decisions for their characters, there is no pressure to "act" the part out, since I essentially do this myself for all characters in the game (yes, it is very entertaining). This is the "Reloaded" version of Deadlands, meaning that it uses the Savage Worlds rules system to keep the game running smooth and fast - just the way I like it. I am interested in starting an ongoing campaign that will last many sessions, but am also interested in doing some "one shot" adventures in other genres (using Savage Worlds), if there are folks out there who cannot make the commitment to an ongoing campaign.
My place is only big enough to host games with two or three other folks, so if you have access to a larger gaming venue than this, then all the better (Deadlands is best played with 4-6 "posse" members). Please keep in mind that although some of my games are R-rated, I am only interested in playing with groups that are fairly clean - having your character drink himself under the table in the game is fine, but a player doing this during the game is not. Drop me a line if you are interested! I am in my mid-30s, if that is important to you. No roleplaying experience necessary - even greenhorns are welcome in the Weird West, pardner!
