We've been having a game at my place in Fortville for years now. We've had people come and go. I've had some practice with playing diplomat for the sake of being able to play considering people have very different idea's of how the game is to be played, and how people are to behave while guests in one's home.
We have a gamer that when he attends once a month to once every other month, we play Call of Chuthulu or Gamma World. Every other week we play Pathfinder. We have a couple of people proficient in DM'ing. Currently we are experiencing a DM in the process of leaving to find gamers that game more often. So we are open to a few more players. Or a DM! Though we already have two people capable of DM'ing. We don't mind taking a hit for the team. But would enjoy having someone run so we can enjoy playing for a change. We are looking for people who are fun, know when to stop clowning around and play, and yet are not too heavy handed where they are going to run everyone off with their power and control issues. And someone who is not going to antagonize my neighbors.
We tend to do a potluck kind of game where people will bring something. Be it cookies, chips, dip, soda, or other things. I generally have coffee brewing on nights we game late. We tend to start gaming anywhere from 1am, or we can start as late as 5-6 depending on everyone's availability. If we start early we may stop at 8pm. Or we've been known to game as late as midnight, and sometimes up till 1am. We've recently gotten rid of players that are disruptive to where we had no choice but to remove their being welcome. And we are currently looking forward to gaming forward little to no disruptions.
We like to use lots of gaming props when available. Being organized for easy play. We have a more than sufficient gaming room, with a table that was made for us by one of our gamers. A few of our gamers are actually new which makes the game fun and exciting considering we know how veteran gamers like to meta game. So if you are new don't hesitate to join us. We don't mind teaching you the ropes. For those curious about Pathfinder. It is 3.5 D&D with some subtle changes. Popularity wise, it has superceded 4.0. Gaming conventions have shown that only a few tables will host 4.0, while most tables are for Pathfinder. If you are interested please send me an email.
