Hello there, I'm trying to put together a group, or multiple groups for Dungeons and Dragons 3.0 or 3.5 editions. Its been nearly four years since I last played however prior to that I had over a decade of experience as a dungeon masters and am eager once again to begin weaving tales of times of peril in need of heroes and villians. I will be supplying much of the materials needed to furnish multiple groups and a location to host the meetings.
I am available for gatherings multiple days of the week and will likely attempt to host two to three different groups each having their own times for meetings based on the player's availablities. My preference are for players age 16+ with reliable transportation to get to the meeting location. Character Sheets will be kept at the meeting location so there will be no worry about losing sheets between gatherings.
The first few communications will enable me to discover the direction of the campaign world from the players perspective so I may create an appealing game experience for the player group. Our first gathering will likely focus around character generation/creation and I am willing to assist new players to learn how to create characters and the appeal to a deep connection to a roleplay persona for a rich game experience.
Length of each session may vary based on the needs of the players, however a typical gathering may be expected for two to four hours. As I will be furnishing a location, source books, and campaign I ask that the players be willing to furnish their own snacks and drinks; on exceptionally long gatherings we may also order out for food or make a meal run in which the players are expected to furnish their own costs.
The gathering location will be a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom house, it has a small kitchen and a large living room suitable to seat up to twelve people at one time. I have two tables and a few clipboards and encourage the players to bring with them a mechanical pencil and a notebook or some blank pieces of paper for player notes. This will make it easier for players to remember the name of locations, and story non-player characters (NPCs) that are encountered or any other events worth note.
